From Cherie Burbach at www.wetpaint.com/glee:
They were grandmother and granddaughter in The Princess Diaries films, and now Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway may reunite on Glee. If all goes as planned, Andrews would play Kurt's grandmother, and Hathaway would be his aunt.
Chris Colfer has been pushing for this dream team for months now. He recently dished to E!'s Kristin Dos Santos, "I'm pretty sure I've been obnoxious enough now that [Julie Andrews] knows that I want her. I think they just have to write it for her … And Anne Hathaway wants to play my lesbian aunt. I'm all for that. Could you imagine a family with myself, Mike O'Malley, Julie Andrews, and Anne Hathaway? That's one hell of a family."
If Glee does score the dynamic duo, it'll be quite the coup; Hathaway is a busy girl these days — The Love and Other Drugs star is slated to co-host the 2011 Oscars!

Epic Superbowl Trantrum!! *Spoiler*
From Heidi Suke at www.wetpaint.com/glee:
Sure, we have [a few] ideas on how to pass the time until the new episode of Glee FINALLY airs, but it’s always nice to get an extra dose of gossip in these terrible Glee-barren months. Are you ready for more Super Bowl scoop, Gleeks? Well, you’re in luck!
Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester) recently caught up with Associated Press and dished on her role in the Super Bowl extravaganza: “It's got so much firepower. There is so much going on in the show that is crazy and funny and wild. I have a hissy fit the likes of which no one has seen before, where I try to destroy the locker room and principal's office. I try to shoot one of my cheerleaders from a cannon."
Shooting a Cheerio from a cannon? Rumor has it that Brittany is going to be the one Sue lures into, and shoots out of, said cannon. Okay. This is going to be good!

Superbowl Spoilers!!!
From Christopher Rosen at www.wetpaint.com/glee:
OMGlee. After months of speculation, we finally have confirmation on the songs Glee will perform during the Super Bowl episode, which airs February 6, 2011. As a bonus, we've included several delectable deets on the episode itself. Spoilerphobes, avoid the rest of this post at all costs!
SPOTTED: The cast of Glee filming scenes on a football field on Thursday, December 9. But wait — is that Lea Michele in uniform? While Chris Colfer and Darren Criss cheered on the team from the stands, Chord Overstreet and Cory Monteith were joined on the field by the pint-sized star herself. After Finn's rejection of her on "A Very Glee Christmas," could this be Rachel's attempt to finally get him back for good?
For spoiler-lovers, here you go!
Katy Perry - "California Gurls," performed by Brittany, Santana, Quinn, and the Cheerios
Lady Antebellum - "Need You Now," performed by Puck and Rachel
Michael Jackson/Yeah Yeah Yeahs - "Thriller"/"Heads Will Roll" (mashup), performed by New Directions (minus Quinn, Birttany, and Santana, who are away at a Cheerios competition) during halftime in a McKinley High football game
Destiny's Child - "Bills, Bills, Bills," performed by Blaine, Kurt, and the Dalton Academy Warblers
Another song that might make it into the eppy is "Meet Me Halfway" by The Black Eyed Peas
As if that wasn't enough, here's a roundup of more episode-related teasers:
- The episode will feature two new football player characters, Scott Cooper and Strando (played by Kody Batchelor), as well as a cameo by Katie Couric, who interviews Sue Sylvester for the "Biggest Loser of the Year" award. (Sue assumes she's received "Most Fascinating Person of the Year" honors, but that accolade goes to Barbara Walters instead.)
- Sue will attempt to lure Brittany into a cannon.
- Finn and Rachel do not reunite... at least not in this episode.
- McKinley High comes down with a serious case of Super Bowl fever due to the Cheerleading Regionals.
- Kurt and Karofsky will have another showdown.
- Coach Beiste recruits Rachel, Tina, and Mercedes for the football team, and she also forces the team to join glee.

Some GLEE Superbowl Deets
From Christopher Rosen at www.wetpaint.com/glee:
We won't have a new episode of Glee to pore over until February, but when our favorite show returns it will be with its biggest episode yet: The Super Bowl one!
"It's a football-themed show," explained Brad Ellis, a musical director on Glee (you know, the bearded guy with the glasses who plays piano and doesn't say anything?), in USA Today. "It's 500 extras," with cameos by "the USC marching band — the Trojan marching band. It's an enormous undertaking."
What else can Brad spill? For one, the Thriller mash-up is going to be huge. "Lots of dancers doing something very fun to watch them do, doing something really specific," he dished. "People that you don't expect to dance will dance."
And while production slowed due to a few Glee cast members coming down with winter bugs, that wasn't the only reason for the delay. "We also had fog roll in the day before just as we were about to begin filming." Doh! Despite these minor (albeit expensive) setbacks, we can expect the show to be epic.

Berry Dishes!
From Kristin Dos Santos at www.eonline.com:
Oh what Glee this Globes day brings!
The show's five nominations are just what Lea Michele needed to bounce out of her funk over her recent TV breakup. "I'm devastated!" she tells me of Finn and Rachel.
I just hit the set to chat up Lea and fellow nominees Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer and Matthew Morrison (check back soon for scoop from the rest!), and here's what Lea wants you fans to know about what's ahead for Finchel, Puckleberry—did someone say duet?!—Britana and why you Finn and Rachel fans have to watch the Super Bowl episode…
"I'm so upset about it!" Lea told me of the Finchel split. "The tweets that I get about this are so intense. They're like, 'You have ruined the show for me! I am sitting here crying right now.'"
Many of you fans have asked if the show's producers are aware how intensely you feel about the Finchel split and Lea lays it out for you: "I show[ed] the tweets to Ryan Murphy and [I was] like, 'Look what you've done!' And he loved it! He was like 'Really?! Oh my God.' I'm so sad, I love working with Cory [Monteith]."
But step away from that ledge; there is hope for you Finchel fanatics. "They're not keeping us apart," Lea insists. "I still have some really awesome scenes with [Corey], both in the Super Bowl episode and in the Valentine's Day episode …Of course, now that [Rachel] knows what they have she's not going to let it go so easy. But some stuff goes down—oh boy, does some stuff go down. It goes down! So wait until you see that, it's the last scene in the Super Bowl episode."
And though some of us do love the naughty notion of fame-whore Rachel Berry with man-whore Puck, Lea has to laugh. "Puckleberry is bad news! I don't know if we'll ever have a serious relationship. But I love working with Mark [Salling] and we have a great duet in the Super Bowl episode. They throw that in, but I don't know if there's anything real there."
As for the fans clamoring for a Brittany and Santana relationship, Lea hints that she doesn't know of anything in the works at the moment, and admits: "I love Artie and Brittany. And oh my God, he sings a song to her in the Valentine's Day episode that is adorable so I'm really loving them right now. With Brittana, I think it's the same thing as Puckleberry: It's sort of bad news, when they're together they're up to no good."

Agron Takes Control
From Leslie Pandey of www.wetpaint.com/glee:
Whoa! According to multiple sources, Dianna Agron (Quinn) fired her agent and manager in an effort to take back the direction of her career.
Page Six reports that the Glee star made the split in November. "She is delighted with the success of Glee and her role. But she parted ways with them around a month ago. Dianna has been working as an actress since she was a child, she is smart and has a strong grasp on where her career is going." Apparently her agent and manager didn't have that same grasp.
No word yet on what this means for Dianna's future Glee negotiations or other projects, but it's nice to know that a talented young star has enough confidence in her abilities to do what she thinks is right.

Was That Really Jesse We Saw?
OK any Groffsessed GLEEks out there...
While watching New Directions perform at sectionals during Special Education, did anyone else catch this glimpse of a possible Jesse sighting?

Although I believe it may be made to look like he was there, it's almost a bigfoot-type sighting still, but Jonathon Groff is in London right now, but wonder if this was a well-placed decoy to let us know he's coming back...
Thoughts?

Grammy GLEE
From Leslie Pandey at www.wetpaint.com/glee
Get excited, Gleeks! The Glee cast has scored not one but two nominations for the 2011 Grammy Awards! The noms were announced tonight at a performance show hosted by teen queen Selena Gomez and musical legend Stevie Wonder.
So what’s Glee up for? The cast’s now classic “Don’t Stop Believin’” track has been tapped for Best Performance By a Duo or Group. No brainer, right? Our only question: Why did Glee only get one nom in this category? We can think of many, many other songs that could have also made the cut. (“Defying Gravity” was robbed!)
Glee’s second nomination comes in the Compilation Soundtrack category for the first volume of the Glee Soundtrack. (Guess the other volumes are feeling jealous right about now!)
Congrats to the Glee cast! Here’s a look at the competition in these categories:
Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals
“Don’t Stop Believin’” — Glee Cast
“Misery” — Maroon 5
“The Only Exception” — Paramore
“Babyfather” — Sade
“Hey, Soul Sister” — Train
Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media
Crazy Heart — Various Artists
Glee: The Music, Volume 1 — Glee Cast
Tremé — Various Artists
True Blood — Various Artists

Superbowl Thriller
GLEEks...Could this be it...?
From Heidi Suke at www.wetpaint.com/glee:
Remember when we said Glee won’t be doing any big name tribute for their post-Super Bowl episode? Well, that’s not entirely true. It turns out they’re going to be performing one of the greatest songs of all time! Are you ready? Are you sure? We’ll give you a hint: It’s not “Don’t Stop Believing.”
According to EW, New Directions will be tackling none other than Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” — but with a twist. Glee will add their signature mashup flair to the King of Pop’s famous tune with another as yet to be determined song. According to sources, the post-Super Bowl ep is set to be the most expensive in Glee history, and will also include music by Black Eyed Peas, Lady Antebellum, and Katy Perry. But that’s not all!
EW continues:
“The post-Super Bowl episode will instead keep with the evening’s sports theme and focus on the local football championship and Sue Sylvester’s cheerleading regionals (the “Thriller” mash-up will be played during halftime of the onscreen pigskin game). Basically, it will be a classic episode of Glee, but just bigger and better; Gleeks can also expect appearances from season two fan favorites: Blaine (Darren Criss) and Coach Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones). Oh, and General Motors is co-sponsoring the episode, which likely means there will be limited commercial interruptions.”
So....whaddya say Gleeks? BOO-YAH!
Source: EW.com
** The article also reports that the tribute episode in the back nine points to Sir Elton John - torn on this thought. **

Superbowl NON-Tribute
From Catriona Wrightman at www.digitalspy.com:
The team behind Glee has reportedly decided not to devote the Superbowl episode to a single theme.
Previous rumors have suggested that the show would pay tribute to one musician. Bruce Springsteen and Michael Jackson have both been linked to the episode.
However, Movieline reports that the producers are now strongly considering airing a "regular" episode with music from a number of different artists.
Previous episodes of Glee have paid tribute to Madonna and Britney Spears, while the recent Halloween episode focused on The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
A spokesperson for Fox declined to comment on the reports.

Jealous Bands Denouncing GLEE
Hell-O GLEEks!
Sorry I haven't posted in a few days.
I read a few days ago that the Gorillaz are the newest on the list of bands denouncing GLEE & refusing their songs. Keep in mind that GLEE hasn't even asked the Gorillaz for any of their music, but that's hearsay, I guess.
With the Gorillaz making this public (even though no one really asked), they have put themselves in the same boat as Kings of Leon. Coldplay was on that list, but realized something & opened up their catalog for GLEE to use.
It's nice that Coldplay came to their senses, and realized that it is OK for others to cover their music. Lady Gaga & Elton John love it when people cover their music...it's a form of flattery! Heck, Sir Paul McCartney is THROWING his catalog at GLEE & begging them to use it!
Plus I figured something out: any band or solo act who doesn't want their music on GLEE is insecure with themselves and don't want to believe that anyone might be able to do their music BETTER than they can. It happens a lot on GLEE - not with every song, but at least with most of them. Britney Spears, Haley Williams & Bruno Mars have praised the GLEE cast for doing their music & for possibly doing it better. These are artists who are secure in who they are, know the power of GLEE, and know that it helps them out as well.
Any act who is going to whine about GLEE setting records & refusing their catalog to the show (especially if you're not even asked in the first place), GROW UP!! You have tried & true fans! Get over the rest of the world who prefers the GLEE version over yours!
Whiny acts need to just keep their bratty mouths shut! If GLEE wants to use your music (uh, one of the BIGGEST shows right now that is setting records in the music industry), suck it up and take the freaking compliment. If you refuse GLEE even if you aren't even asked (take a hint there, Gorillaz), then you are just trying to be an attention suck & no one wants to pay attention to those kids in class.
That's just my thoughts anyway...

Mercedes Dad Here
From Heidi Suke @ www.wetpaint.com/glee:
We’ve got a dish so hot you’ll burn your hands!
David Alan Grier has just tweeted that he’s been cast as “Jasper,” who will play Mercedes’ singing, dancing, homeless, estranged father in a three-episode arc. (Wait, her dad is homeless? Who knew?)
Wow — our memories of David just went from black and white to color. In Living Color, that is! You may remember David from his many, um, colorful characters on the variety show.

*** Wait, WHAT? Isn't Mercedes dad a dentist? What is going on?? **

Could be Wedding Bells for Sue...
From Christopher Rosen @ www.wetpaint.com/glee:
Wow, Gleeks. Put on your spoiler glasses and check out this massive bit of scoop.
We already know that comedy icon Carol Burnett will be heading to Glee to play Sue Sylvester's Nazi-hunting mother in a November sweeps episode, but now we know the circumstances for her arrival: It could be for Sue's wedding!
Apparently during the episode Kurt is planning his dad and Finn's mom's wedding (!) and Sue gets jealous and announces that she's getting married too. Apparently to someone she views as an equal. Interesting.
As for Burnett, it's revealed that her name is Doris and that she sings with Sue! "She and I sing a duet, ‘Why, Oh Why, Oh Why, Did I Leave Ohio’ from [the Broadway musical] Wonderful Town,” reveals Jane Lynch. "I guess all the Nazis have been caught, so Mother comes back — but there’s still a lot of resentment. We’re going to see another level of Sue’s vulnerability. This has a lot to do with why Sue is so mean."

On November 16, Gwyenth Paltrow arrives to fill in for Mr. Schuester, while Sue Sylvester takes over for Principal Figgins. Yikes!
And on November 23, Sue's mother (played by Carol Burnett) will arrive, just as New Directions prepares for Sectionals.

Murphy Might Get a "Horror" Remake
OK #GLEEks...
There are rumors out there that Ryan Murphy has been offered a full remake of "Rocky Horror Picture Show" due to the "Rocky Horror GLEE Show" episode coming up on October 26th for the Halloween episode.
I am going to try to hold judgment until I watch the episode, but WAY before GLEE ever happened, I had pictured a RHPS remake directed by Tim Burton. His style is PERFECT for this! And then the following cast (keeping Tim Burton in mind). There have been some tweaks since 2 years ago, but here's who I picture:
Frank N Furter - Johnny Depp
Janet - Ashley Tisdale or Amy Adams
Brad - Ashton Kutcher
Riff Raff/Magenta combo - Alan Rickman/Burnadette Peters or Conan O'Brien/Helena Bonham Carter
Columbia - Amy Poehler
Eddie - Jack Black (this is the ONLY substitute for Meatloaf out there - none other)
Rocky - James Marsden
Dr. Scott - Patrick Stewart
Narrator/Criminologist - Morgan Freeman
Agree? Disagree? Thoughts of who else? Who do you see as any of the characters &/or director of this so-bad-it's-fun movie?
Please note that my thoughts on these could change after next week...(except for Jack Black. He stays.)

Kings of Leon Bought GLEEks a Kitten
...let us fall in love with that kitten, then snuck into our houses in the middle of the night & punched us in the face WHILE stepping on our kitten...
From www.rttnews.com:
Kings of Leon were surprised by the reaction they received after turning down an offer to have their songs used in an episode of the hit TV show Glee.
Drummer Nathan Followill spoke with Mojo magazine about the offer and says the band wasn't expecting the backlash they got after turning down Glee.
"Turning down Glee was like stepping on a kitten. We had no idea there was going to be that response. As artists . . . you have the right to turn down stuff and at the time it just didn't seem to be the right fit," he says.
He adds, "No offense to anybody. Hopefully a show will come out about hot models in bikinis and then we'll let 'em use every one of our songs."
The band's newest album Come Around Sundown hits stores in Ireland, Australia and Germany on October 15, the UK on October 18 and in North America on October 19.

Criss on Chris
From Michael Ausiello of www.ausiellofiles.ew.com:
“My guess is as good as anybody’s,” shrugs newest Glee cast member Darren Criss of reports that his character Blaine—a charismatic, out-and-proud gay teen from a rival school—is being groomed as a love interest for Chris Colfer’s Kurt. “It’s a really big secret.”
The two meet in the Nov. 9 episode when Kurt, who is fast becoming fed up with life at McKinley High, considers transferring to the nearby Dalton Academy, where Criss’ character is a student. “I think Blaine’s most important role is…as a mentor to Kurt,” says Criss, whose only major pre-Glee TV credit was a stint on ABC’s short-lived Eastwick. “At this point, Kurt’s [sexuality] has been such a sense of discord in his life. Blaine finds [being gay] empowering. He embraces who he is, and sees Kurt [struggling with] the same things that he had to deal with, and I think he wants to impart that knowledge.”
Criss hopes Blaine will serve as a positive role model for viewers as well, given the recent string of suicides among gay youth. “It’s great to see a strong character like this on a hit show that so many people are watching,” he says. “I can’t really think of any other gay characters on TV that are this young and sure of themselves. I hope all the kids struggling with this issue can look to a guy like Blaine and feel [inspired] by his confidence.”

Paltrow Goes Old School on GLEE
From Terri Schwartz at www.hollywoodcrush.mtv.com:
This is the stuff the "Random Yet Notable" category was created for. You probably already knew that Gwyneth Paltrow will be guest-starring on an upcoming episode of "Glee." But did you know her substitute teacher character will be dressing up as Abraham Lincoln's wife Mary Todd Lincoln and singing a showtune from "Chicago"? Seriously. We have it on good authority from "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy, who was quoted in the Wall Street Journal's entertainment blog Speakeasy.
We won't find out until the episode airs what this whole Mrs. Abraham Lincoln thing is all about, but it got us thinking about other intriguing historical figures that we'd like to see get their moment on "Glee." Since New Directions rocked that amazing Lady Gaga episode, we know they're game.
Cleopatra
Easily one of the most kickass women in history, Cleopatra was a colorful personality and a total man-killer. Sounds to me like a good opportunity for Santana to take centerstage.
Napoleon Bonaparte
Napoleon was one of history's most powerful men, and one of the smallest. For some reason, I can just picture Kurt being able to use a history lesson on Napoleon (while in costume, of course), to get across one of "Glee's" moral lessons.
Rosa Parks
She's more of a modern historical figure than anyone else on this list, but Rosa Parks is easily one of the most recognizable faces in the fight for racial equality. And since there's bound to be a "Glee" episode dealing with racial diversity, why not let Mercedes reenact Rosa's famous bus rebellion?
Vlad the Impaler
Halloween is coming up, and—surprise, surprise—vampires are still all the rage, so you can't tell me there isn't some way to incorporate the man who inspired the creation of Dracula into the show. Just toss in a song from "Forgetting Sarah Marshall"'s Dracula puppet musical, and they're set.
Louisa May Alcott
So what if we have a soft spot in our hearts for the author of "Little Women"? She was an important figure during the Civil War era just like Mary Todd Lincoln, and a big proponent of women's rights. We see her included in a Girl Power! episode (as long as the Spice Girls are represented too!).

Salling: Axed or Absent?
From Ted Casablanca & Taryn Ryder of The Awful Truth at www.eonline.com:
Is Mark Salling being punished by Gleemaster Ryan Murphy & Co. for pursuing a solo'ish career?
According to Hollywood Life, Glee's resident bad boy may have breached his contract with Fox by making his own album and is supposedly putting his band before his cast.
Well, here's the real deal straight from an on-set source, because—spoiler alert—you won't see Mark in next week's episode either:
Our source adamantly says Mark's absence from the show does not have anything to do with his album. Anyone notice Jayma Mays gone last night too? And no one's making a fuss over that.
"Mark would never prioritize anything over the show, he respects the executives and his cast too much to do that," spills our Glee insider.
"People forget that he's been doing music for almost a decade before Glee," adds our source. "He just has a target on his back because he's the first of the cast to do a solo album."
Which, by the way, we hear the cast is totally supportive of.
"A lot of the cast are planning solo albums as well, they are celebrating Mark's release, not creating drama out of it," 'fesses Deep Gleek.
And if you remember, Glee fans, Dianna Agron was absent from a few episodes in the first season when she was pursuing her movie career, so this isn't all that strange.
So never fear, Puck lovers, we're told hottie Mark will be back steaming up the small screen ASAP.
"He's still a series regular," adds our studio insider. "Mark will be back soon, Mohawk in full force, with a major bad boy comeback."
Fewf! Matthew Morrison can't carry all the hotness on his pretty face alone.
Are your Gleek hearts calm yet?
** Just a note that Matthew Morrison will be doing a solo album soon, too! **

Jesse & Superbowl Tribute: Murphy Gives Insight
From Christopher Rosen of www.wetpaint.com/glee:
Glee creator Ryan Murphy has slowed the spoilers down ever so slightly this season, but that doesn't mean he still isn't happy to talk about what he's planning for future Glee episodes. Like, for instance, will Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff) come back?
"Jonathan Groff is definitely coming back next year. Next calendar year. He's not available until January, but he'll be in the back [nine] episodes of this season." Whoa, get excited!
Speaking of next year, what does Murphy have planned for the Super Bowl? "No, I still haven't figured out who I want to do. I feel like everyone's already talking about Michael Jackson or Springsteen or Prince, but I want to do something that no one would suspect. Just some random person, I don't know. I have a couple feelers out to several artists, all of whom have said yes — which I never expected, so now I have to choose, and I don't know who I want."
Exciting! We hear N'Sync is available.
Meanwhile, what's the latest on the relationship front? "Nothing really new on the Rachel-Finn front...Although I will tell you there is trouble ahead when Rachel plays spin the bottle!" Jacob Ben-Israel, this could be your moment!
Source: E!
*** Sharing my own thoughts now ***
~ When Jesse makes his appearance, please let there be some family time with him & so Greyson Chance can play his very talented little brother! Perfect!
~ Really, Ryan? Michael Jackson is too obvious & wanted? DUH!! Then may I suggest the Spice Girls? Someone threw that one out there! It's pretty random & would be very entertaining!
~ Spin-the-bottle, huh? Is this where there would still be a little something between Rachel & Puck? That will be interesting & would be cause for celebration with Puckelberry 'shippers! And a bit devastating for Finchel 'shippers!
******

GLEE at The Office
From Michael Ausiello from ausiellofiles.ew.com:
Okay...an entire upcoming episode of The Office will be dedicated to the Dunder Mifflin staff getting together to watch Glee.
Bizarre, right? And brilliant!
Unfortunately, according to an Office source, no Glee actors will actually appear in the episode. Which means that no, Dwight will not get pantsed by Puck. (Curses!)

GLEE Plans Another Hard-Hitter
From Christopher Rosen at www.wetpaint.com:
During tonight's episode of Glee, show creator Ryan Murphy and the cast tackle the subject of religion with surprising little snark and sarcasm. The episode, "Grilled Cheesus," is one of the best yet and will no doubt touch everyone who watches. But if you think this is the last time Glee plans on getting serious, think again. There's also the rash of gay teen suicides in the news lately, something that everyone in the cast wants to speak out against.
"Ryan [Murphy] wants to do an episode about it, which I think is very smart of him," Matthew Morrison told E!. "As a cast I don't know much we can do. That's why I think an episode would be great... Ryan is very current with staying on the times, so I think it would be this season if it were to happen."
Echoed Heather Morris: "I just found out today about the episode, and I think that's amazing. I just saw the tragedies on the news the other night. I think people need to be aware of what the Internet is doing for so many people. Yeah it's good, but people are putting up other people's private movies? It's disgusting."
(Heather is referring to Tyler Clementi, a Rutgers student who jumped off the George Washington Bridge after a video of him with another man was put online without his knowledge.)
"It's sad that it's taken these past few weeks and horrible tragedies to really let people know what's going on," added Kevin McHale. "I think being in our position and Ryan taking that on is great.Hopefully we can move the general public and let the kids and the parents watching the show know that everybody deserves to be loved."
Jessalyn Gilsig agrees: "What's unique about Glee is we have this audience of kids and adults. Just as it's important to send this message to the kids about bullying and the effect in can have, we have to send it to the parents. We have to send it to the teachers. It's the adults who have to start taking responsibility and managing this behavior and educating youth on acceptance, empathy, and compassion. In a sense, I can't even demonize the children as much as I do the families that need to know. Parents and the administration need to take responsibility."

Will GLEE Choose the Boss?
From www.thenjunderground.com:
So after Fox's musical TV show Glee did a Madonna episode last year, Jane Lynch has revealed that the club may end up doing a Boss inspired performance. In an interview with Digital Spy Lynch talks about how her recreation of Madonna's "Vogue" video was one of her highlight's of working on the show and how she'd love to do a Bruce Springsteen inspired episode. Quote from the interview is below.
"I hear rumors that we may do a Bruce Springsteen episode and I think something like that would be amazing," she said. "I'm a big fan!" [Jane Lynch]
*** My heart just broke a little bit! WE WANT MJonGLEE!!! Are you listening Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk & Ian Brennan? MJ...NOT Bruce!! ***

GLEE Goes From 'Simpsonized' to Miniaturized
From Michael Ausiello of http://ausiellofiles.ew.com:
Methinks Glee is about to answer the centuries-old question, “What does a 5-year-old boy look like with a Mohawk?” Sources confirm that the Fox phenom is looking for kindergarten-aged actors and actresses to play kiddie versions of Puck, Santana, Rachel, Brittany, and Mercedes in this season’s seventh episode. Why? Beats me. Got a theory?

Fatone'd for GLEE?
From Christopher Rosen at www.wetpaint.com:
Last year, after the all-Madonna episode, Britney Spears went on the Twitter offensive and wound up guest starring on the hit series. But don't expect a similar fate to befall former N'SYNCer Joey Fatone.
The former boy band star has hit Twitter and Facebook to campaign for an appearance on Glee. "Glee was good but I think my ass needs to get on that show a be a teacher or someone in the background ! Lol," he wrote on Twitter after the Britney episode.
He continued: "And let GLEEonFOX how ya feel either do an nsync ep or have me on there that would be a blast!!"
He also told People: "I love acting and I like to sing. It'd be perfect! Seriously, it's a great show. I'm a fan," adding that "Bye Bye Bye" or "It's Gonna Be Me" would be good songs for the show. Well, then! To be fair, both of those songs would be amazing for Glee, but do we really need to see Joey Fatone to have them played? Probably not. The only N'SYNC member we want on Glee is Justin Timberlake. Something tells us Ryan Murphy and the cast would agree.

The Situ-Asisan: Shum Speaks
From Hanh Nyguen at www.blog.zap2it.com:
"Glee" star Harry Shum, Jr. is proof that the squeaky wheel doesn't always get the grease.
His "Glee" character Mike Chang may have spent the first season largely silent, dancing in the background, but in Season 2 those nimble feet earned him some lines and his very own story -- as one point in the love triangle with Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Artie (Kevin McHale).
"There is a group of people who hate Mike Chang, for the fact of them being huge Artie fans," Shum tells Zap2it. "It's to be expected because Artie is a fun character, a good character. If Tina and Artie are together forever though, then where can you go from there? I think it's good to stir it up, stir the pot a little."
That pot will continue to be stirred as Artie fights to win back his lady. Did we not just see him join the football team and start pumping iron in Tuesday's (Sept. 28) episode?
"It's going to be a little interesting over the next couple episodes between Mike, Tina and Artie," observes Shum. "Artie was a bad boyfriend, but is a good guy at the end of the day. He realized it. That happens a lot in relationships, you realize, 'Oh man, I messed up.' The new guy comes in. Mike Chang is starting to open up and be vocal about things and actually have a little more confidence."
Asian Camp
That confidence was proudly displayed at "Asian Camp," where he and Tina fell for each other. On the show, we see that Tina's memories of camp include stereotypical Asian props -- the Chinese lucky cat, unexplained Asian character writing, bamboo and little Asian kids playing with techno toys.
"I heard the set was going to be like full-out woks all over the place, so it was actually toned down a lot," says Shum with a laugh. "It was really funny. I never went to Asian Camp. I never knew that that existed. Then I Googled it, and it actually does exist. People on Twitter were telling me, 'Yeah, I used to go to Asian Camp, but it was never that much fun.'"
What's 'The Situ-Asian' With Those Abs?
The fun they're referring to, of course, is Mike Chang and Tina's romantic interlude, in which they embrace and kiss -- in front of the little Asian kids. Another aspect of that scene is Mike Chang's corrugated abs that not only catch Tina's attention, but the attention of viewers at home as well.
"Who goes to camp with these short shorts and open shirt, half naked? It's so funny," says Shum, adding that he was surprised at the focus on his physique. "Even when I was shooting that I didn't expect the response that I got. It comes all in little trends I guess. First it was the 'Other Asian' that came in and got forgotten and then 'No Bones' kind of came in and now I guess that."
There has to be a better nickname for him now besides "that."
"Yeah, someone -- I guess the whole Internet is calling me 'The Situ-Asian,'" admits Shum, referencing the "Jersey Shore" and now "Dancing With the Stars" cast member Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino known for his six-pack. "It's flattering but I don't think that's the only thing that Mike Chang has to offer. They're going to reveal a lot more things about what he is, what he can and what he can't do."
The LXD
What Mike Chang, and therefore Harry Shum, can do is move. Not only do we see his loose-limbed, serpentine moves on "Glee," but also as part of the superhero-themed dance webisodes "The LXD," which stands for The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. Shum's LXD alter ego is Elliot Hoo, a guy who stumbles upon a mystical pair of shoes that have a personality of their own. Take a look:
After the first season's origin stories, "The LXD" will release its 10-episode second season this fall in which the heroes take on the villains. Some underground names that dance fans might recognize are B-Boy Casper and Frantic, whom Shum says are "some of the best dancers in the world." He also teases what else to expect in Season 2.
"You are going to see a slew of the evil side and it's kind of creepy," he says, adding that more women will also be joining on. "There's some members of ['America's Best Dance Crew' runner ups] The Beat Freaks. Definitely Pandora and the Dark Nurse will come back as well. We're trying to fill up the girls as well because we know it was off balance last season."
"Glee" airs on FOX Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET, and "The LXD" will debut its second season this fall.

Romance for Sam Evans and...
From Christopher Rosen @ www.wetpaint.com:
Well, Gleeks, it looks like the mystery around who Kurt's boyfriend will be during this season of Glee has been sorted out. According to EW King of Scoop, Michael Ausiello, Chord Overstreet's Sam is set to romance... well, spoiler alert. Do you really want to know?
Of course! He's set to romance Quinn. That means the handsome, floppy haired star will not be pressing his lips into Kurt's, as had been rumored.
Meanwhile, Ausiello also reports that Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.) will sing with Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) during Episode 4, that Charice will return for Episode 7. In other news, Ausiello says Glee doesn't plan on doing another Madonna episode this season. There's always next year, though...

Superbowl Showdown: Boss vs. King
From Christopher Rosen at www.wetpaint.com
It looks like Glee's post-Super Bowl show has been narrowed down to one of two artists. Will the members of New Directions be channeling their inner Boss or their inner King?
According to Michael Ausiello, Glee has to decide between featuring the songs of Michael Jackson or Bruce Springsteen for the extra special episode. Which artist will reign supreme? Probably The Boss (it is after the Super Bowl, after all), but we can't help but wish for MJ. Can't you just imagine how awesome that would be?
*** O.M.GLEE!!! We are so close to #MJonGLEE, everyone!!!!!! Let's start pushing for it again!

Criss to Cross-over to be With Colfer?
From Michael Ausiello @ www.ausiellofiles.com
The plot surrounding Kurt’s first boyfriend on Glee thickens: Actor-singer-songwriter Darren Criss—best known to TV audiences as Matt Dallas’ bro on Eastwick—has landed the much-talked-about new gay role on the Fox phenom.
But will he have eyes for Kurt? Maybe. Maybe not. Allow me to explain…
Per a Glee source, Criss’ character, Blaine—a cute and charismatic gay student from a rival Glee club named the Dalton Academy Warblers—will maintain a strictly platonic friendship with McKinley High’s most out and proud pupil. But could that change as the season progresses? Yes, it could.
Sounds to me like series creator Ryan Murphy is keeping his options open.
Ever since Murphy announced that Kurt would be getting a love interest in season 2, speculation about the identity of his suitor has run rampant. The casting of pretty boy Chord Overstreet led some to speculate that his quarterback character Sam would play that role, a theory Chris Colfer all but shot down when he informed us that there’s no sign of romantic tension between Sam and Kurt in the first four episodes. “Maybe it is too obvious,” he theorized. “Our writers have a way of avoiding the obvious and throwing curveballs.”
Darren-CrissImage Credit: Chris DzombakIn addition to his TV work, Criss has built quite a Web following as a member of the University of Michigan theater company Team StarKid. The group’s spoof, A Very Potter Musical, went viral and turned Criss (who plays the title role) into a bit of an Internet star.

Weird Dream Last Night
OK GLEEks...
I know some of you have posted on Twitter that you would never want this to happen, but just hear me out & stay with me...
OK, last night I dreamed of GLEE...I think. At least Rachel was in it...or Lea Michele. I may have been watching a movie of some sort...but I saw Zac Efron on the screen with her. Somehow they were talking when a microburst hit & they had to take cover! It was crazy & kind of intense! And then somehow afterward (they were both OK), she kept reminding him that she was gay & he asked her why she had to keep bringing it up...
WHAT????
That's all I remember! Now then...I know it has been rumored that Zac could appear on GLEE...but...
He wanted OUT of the whole "High School Musical" thing (but GLEE is in series form)! That's why he backed out of "Footloose"!
So don't hate on me, Zac-haters, it was ONLY a dream! OK?
Anyhoo...thought I share my craziness that happens in my head sometimes...

Want That RecipGLEE?
Hi GLEEks!
As promised, here are the GLEEcrets to Slushie Cakes & Brittany Bars! Ready?
Slushie Cakes al a GLEE:
* Use your favorite WHITE cake mix
* Follow package directions & ADD 2 pkg Koolaid (any flavor) to the water the directions require & dissolve before adding to the mix
* Fill each baking cup MOSTLY full in a cupcake pan
* Bake as directed with maybe 2-3 added minutes (Toothpick Test here: check to see if the toothpick comes out clean after baking times)
* After baking, cool COMPLETELY
Decorating Slushie Cakes:
* Use plain WHITE frosting & spread a VERY thin layer on cupcakes
* I use SPRAY food coloring (Wilton's in the cake decor section/aisle) & use the same color as the flavor of cupcakes
* Use sugar crystals (white) & food color drops in a separate bowl to make the color of the sugar the same color as the cupcakes
* After the this white layer of frosting is sprayed w/ food coloring, add the colored sugar over the top & shake off excess sugar
>> You can use precolored icing as long as it's the same color as the cupcakes; if the frosting is flavored, make sure it is the same as the cupcakes
>> You may use regular colored sugar, just note that the sugar crystals look like the ice in slushies; if you use colored sugar that is flavored, make sure it is the same as the flavor of the cupcakes
Slushie Cake set up:
* Use small 5 oz plastic cups (clear or white)
* Add licorice whips (preferably red like Twizzlers) as the "straw"
** NOTE: These can easily tip, so HANDLE WITH CARE **
>> Yields apprx. 18 cupcakes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BRITTANY BARS:
* Use 1 box Fruity Cheerios (you may also use the generic brand which is slightly larger, but has blue 'O's where Cheerios do not include blue)
* ½ stick of butter
* 1 bag of marshmallows or fruity marshmallows
* melt butter in a microwaveable bowl in the microwave for 45 seconds or until butter is melted
* add the bag of marshmallows & toss with the melted butter
* place mixture back in the microwave for 45 seconds
* stir the mixture
* place back in the microwave for 45 more seconds
* stir again
* mix melted marshmallows with the cereal in a large bowl
* place foil in a 9"x13" pan & grease or spray with cooking spray VERY well (I used Baker's Joy)
* spread cereal mixture evenly in the foiled pan & let set
* cut into squares
** NOTE: Keep in an airtight container **
>> Yields apprx. 12 squares
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have fun at your next GLEE get together!! I hope you do not find these confusing.

* Bake as directed with maybe 2-3 added minutes (Toothpick Test here: check to see if the toothpick comes out clean after baking times)
* After baking, cool COMPLETELY
18 cupcakes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BRITTANY BARS:
* Use 1 box Fruity Cheerios (you may also use the generic brand which is slightly larger, but has blue 'O's where Cheerios do not include blue)
* ½ stick of butter
* 1 bag of marshmallows or fruity marshmallows
* melt butter in a microwaveable bowl in the microwave for 45 seconds or until butter is melted
* add the bag of marshmallows & toss with the melted butter
* place mixture back in the microwave for 45 seconds
* stir the mixture
* place back in the microwave for 45 more seconds
* stir again
* mix melted marshmallows with the cereal in a large bowl
* place foil in a 9"x13" pan & grease or spray with cooking spray VERY well (I used Baker's Joy)
* spread cereal mixture evenly in the foiled pan & let set
* cut into squares
** NOTE: Keep in an airtight container **
>> Yields apprx. 12 squares
#Pray4Nanis
Hell-O GLEEks.
I am writing this post with a request for help. I have met so many wonderful GLEEks on Twitter lately, and I recently began chatting with one a few weeks ago when I noticed in a post of hers that she died on the operating table & came back! I was so moved by that, I began chatting with her.
Our fellow GLEEk, @gleeknaniiss, is a 22 year old who is fighting for her life as I write this. She told a small circle of us that she wanted to get out of the hospital & live her life but knew she was too weak. We have been praying for her & encouraging her to take care of herself. She knows to do that & had a new look on life. She also fully believes that she is not done on Earth yet. I believe that, too.
Nanis has a blood condition that causes her to bleed. It was discovered a later than it probably should have been. She has been in ICU for weeks & recently had to undergo another surgery for internal bleeding. We have been truly concerned about her since then. She slipped into a coma, but came out of on GLEE's premier night! She had actually hoped to be well enough to travel to watch it, but that wasn't to happen.
A friend of hers has been updating us on how she's doing...
It's not well at the moment. Her heart is very weak now, and the doctors cannot do much more for her. She has to fight it out now.
I know she is in God's hands & she has so much faith! She is a beautiful spirit who is in desperate need of our prayers right now!
Would you please join me in our Twitter movement of #Pray4Nanis? We need these prayers from around the world coming from her fellow GLEEks!
I also ask that you pass this along. She is an amazing story & an amazing person. No, I haven't met her face-to-face, but our chats have been inspiring!
Thank you.
9/24 Update
Hell-O GLEEks!
They have brought in another doctor who wanted to change her medication. It has been done & there is improvement! She is awake & talking! She is sending her love to everyone who has been supporting her with love & prayers!
Thank you to those of you who have shared this post with some of the GLEE cast, too. Iqbal Theba does send his well wishes for Nanis to get better! What a great guy!
We are no where near done in this journey, GLEEks! Please continue the #Pray4Nanis movement as God keeps His mighty healing hand upon her & her spirit. Also include her family & friends who are there with her experiencing these miracles! Please pray for the doctors & medical staff that are helping with their healing hands & knowledge.
God is good...All the time! We love you, Nanis!!
** 2nd Update **
She has just had a relapse! Please pick up the prayers!! She needs us NOW!!
9/25 Update:
Nanis had to have another surgery. She came out of surgery very early this morning. She's still going, but in delicate condition. She cannot have visitors right now, but does have a doctor in the room with her around the clock!
Thank you to everyone who has been praying & giving support! Please keep praying for our dear friend!
9/26 Update:
Well GLEEks, Nanis' blood pressure went down last night. She is sedated right now & still no visitors, of course. In the meantime, her grandfather passed away yesterday (9/25) & they are having the funeral today. I do not thing Nanis knows due to the state she is in.
Please continue the #Pray4Nanis movement & be sure to include her family though this time. What a heartbreaking situation! Also include her doctors, nurses & friends though all of this.
Thank you to everyone who has been supporting Nanis. Even if you are not one who prays, please either start or send positive energy her direction!
Much love to you all!
2nd Update (9/26)
Our Nanis is really fighting hard tonight! Her blood pressure keeps dropping. Please pray harder, send positive & healing energy, and be sure to spread the word! She needs us right now GLEEks!
Thank you all for all of your love and support! Her family needs this too. Do NOT forget to pray for the doctors & nurses who are with her & treating her!!
9/27 Update:
Well, the doctors are really working hard to keep Nanis stabilized. The family is going through so much right now. Her grandfather was buried today & they are dealing with the ups & downs at the hospital.
Here's the hard & tricky part: the Mexican doctors want family & friends to start saying their goodbyes to her; the Houston doctors are saying there is hope & she will make it. I am putting my faith in God & the Houston doctors & hope you will join me!
Please make #Pray4Nanis surge to get word out about her! The power of prayer is amazing!! Continue to pray &/or send healing & positive energy to Nanis, her family, her friends & all the doctors & medical staff that are going through all of this right now! Please share this link also when & where you can! She needs us now, they all need us now! Even if you are not on Twitter to spread #Pray4Nanis, please at least share this link!
Thank you for all of your love, kindness & support for Nanis!
9/28 Update:
I got word this morning that, late last night, Nanis went into cardiac arrest. Doctors have worked very hard to save her. She is a fighter & has made it through yet again. She is an amazing miracle that remains in a very delicate state. She has been going through this last round for over a week now & is still going.
She obviously still needs our help. Her family still needs our love. The doctors & medical staff still need our support. Her friends still need our thoughts. Please continue our #Pray4Nanis movement...more than ever! It has been a hard journey, so let's take her by the hand & help her through these rough parts.
Thank you all for the continued love & support for Nanis. Her friends & family have expressed their ongoing gratitude for it!
9/29 Update:
Got word that Nanis is in an induced coma, but stable. Which is good for now. Please continue to Pray 4 Nanis, her dear friends that keep us updated, her family & certainly her doctors & all medical staff working with her!
Thank you, GLEEmunity, for you continued love & support of our friend!
2nd Update (9/29):
OMGlee!!! Nanis is responding to her new medications, is off of the ventilator & is AWAKE!! She is under strict observation, of course, and still no visitors allowed, but the power of prayer is amazing! And she is such a strong spirit!
Please continue to pray for this roller coaster ride! Keep praying for her recovery, for her family & friends going through all of this, and for the doctors & medical staff that are helping her heal! Pray that this ride ends soon & well! I would love for her to be able to tell about this ride!! Wouldn't you?
The love & support of the #GLEEmunity has been amazing! You all are wonderful! The family & her friends have been so appreciative!
10/1 Update:
Sorry for no updates yesterday, but there really weren't any. Which is a good thing!
What we know today is that she is getting antsy & is complaining that she is still unable to have visitors! YEA! She's complaining about no visitors! This is a very positive thing & she one tough chic! I know I keep saying this, but Nanis is an amazing spirit that is both so sweet & so strong!
Our prayers are working GLEEks! What an amazing GLEEmunity we have to love & support each other in these kinds of times!
Keep praying for Nanis. Of course, be sure include her family & friends as they are feeling the effects of the exhaustion of this whole ordeal. Please continue to pray for the doctors who have had faith in Nanis & are working hard to make sure she can leave that hospital to go and continue living her life, as well as the medical staff that are there supporting these doctors & working with Nanis!
Thank you all for keeping up with these posts, too! You all are amazing!
10/3 Update:
Well everyone, our prayers are working wonders & miracles! As Nanis is still in ICU, she got to have family see her, and then hopefully more visitors tomorrow! This is amazing, GLEEks! Keep up the prayers! You all are amazing!
I would like to take this moment to call out a particular blog. Fake Live Journal Deaths has been trying everything they can to prove this as a hoax; that's what they try to set out to do...scope the internet & take things out of context to try to say every "death"-type story is a hoax. Yes, http://community.livejournal.com/fake_lj_deaths/, I know it's you. There was even an awful comment left early on in this movement that I refused (and still do) to post due to the cruel nature it has. Well, my non-believing readers. There's this thing out there called prayer & another that goes along with it called miracles. That's what you are experiencing with this whole thing, so sorry you can't prove much else from your stand point. I also know that you keep checking here. So hopefully it has encouraged you to pray, not prey.
Keep up the great prayers & keep the movement going as our beautiful friend keeps up on the mend!
GLEEks are amazing!! And so is Nanis!
Late 10/4 Update:
Nanis is not doing very well right now. She might still get a couple of visitors, but more tests need to be run. Keep the prayers up NOW, GLEEks!! Nanis needs us to make it through this! So does her family & friends! Pray for them and for the doctors & medical staff that have faith in her & are working to keep her here & get her healed! The movement needs a new upswing! Let's go!!
To our beautiful Nanis: Keep Holding On!
To all the GLEEks out there praying: Don't Stop Believin'!
10/6 Update:
Just a quick update...Nanis is still struggling. She is still in ICU & she has been in a lot of pain lately, and she started bleeding a little through her nose so the doctors got worried and said it would be safer to just cut the visits for now, however she is still awake & fighting!
So that's where we are at!
Keep praying, GLEEks! Keep up the #Pray4Nanis movement! Remember her family, friends, doctors, nurses & medical staff! They appreciate the support, thoughts, prayers, positive thoughts & healing energy! Keep it up!
10/8 Update:
PRAY HARD!! About 4 hours ago (of this update), Nanis is in surgery...brain surgery. With her very fragile state lately (even though she is QUITE the fighter), there is a lot to be concerned about this time. Her family & friends are frightened with this surgery. Frankly, her twitter friends are too...like me.
If you thought you needed to pray hard before, #Pray4Nanis must be bigger & stronger NOW!!
Pray for her strength & spirit though the surgery. Pray for her family & friends as all they can do wait. Pray for her doctors, nurses & medical staff as they are dealing with a very serious & fragile form of healing with her.
PRAY HARD, GLEEks!! Please!
Thank you...and hope to update you with some good news...
2nd Update (10/8):
Nanis made it through surgery & the doctors got a blood clot from her brain. Hopefully this will help out with a lot of problems. Please continue to pray for Nanis as she recovers from this one. Don't forget her family & friends as they anxiously await what happens.
Thank you for all of your awesome support! It is working unbelievable miracles so far!
10/10 Update:
The situation with Nanis even more critical. Things have been very hard, doctors having struggling to keep her going, her parents are destroyed ... things are looking worse than ever, according to her very good friend keeping us as updated as possible. The surgery to remove the clot from her brain has helped, but they had to lower the drugs dose, so now she is bleeding constantly but they can not up the dose for fear of more clots forming...either she bleeds out or her blood just coagulates.
They are trying to find a solution, 3 more doctors from the Houston team are arriving tomorrow morning to see what they can do for the case. They were talking about transferring her to Houston, but her situation right now makes it impossible.
Please pray for this entire situation, GLEEks! Nanis is in dire need again/still of our support, prayers, positive thoughts & healing energies. Her family & friends are in need of our strength for them right now. Please pray the doctors can do more to keep her around. I would like to put out there to pray really hard that the transfer to Houston becomes a reality. I miss the tweet conversations with her & this is not someone who deserves this! She is a beautiful & sweet spirit who has been fighting so hard the last few weeks!
Won't you join us in a worldwide prayer vigil for Nanis & her loved ones? They deserve nothing less.
Thank you...
10/17 Update:
OK, I know it's been a week, but I hadn't gotten any updates. That has NOT stopped me from praying for our friend everyday anyway! Hope you all have continued the #Pray4Nanis vigil, too. I believe many of you have because she is currently awake & talking! What a ride this has been for her, GLEEks! But she is still on this scary ride. Please do not stop praying for Nanis until the after the ride is over!
Thank you to everyone who has been praying for Nanis, her family, her friends, her doctors & medical staff. And if you haven't been praying but have been sending strengthening, positive & healing energy their way, too...it has been so appreciated.
And for those at http://community.livejournal.com/fake_lj_deaths (especially you, 289106), please note that I do know you are still keeping up with Nanis, and do truly hope this has actually been an inspiring story for you to follow. Because I know you keep checking.
Keep up the beautiful vigil for our sweet-spirited & strong-willed friend! Hope to bring you more good news soon!
10/18 Update:
Keep up those prayers, GLEEks! Just got word that, even though Nanis is still under close observation, she is receiving a few visitors, is awake & talking, and as long as she continues to do well, she may be moved OUT of ICU this week!! What a miracle!!
Keep praying hard & continue the #Pray4Nanis vigil & movement. The prayers, positive thoughts & healing energies are working wonders! Her family & friends are very happy & feel like they can start breathing a little easier, too!
So please continue to support Nanis with your prayers & thoughts, and always include her family, friends, doctors, nurses & medical staff that are there with her as well. This has been a tiring ordeal, and it seems to be looking up...make the miracle happen!
Yeah! What About That?
From Kristin Dos Santos at www.eonline.com's Watch with Kristin:
So you still like the Glee, do you? Twelve million fans tuned in for the season-two premiere last night, but by the looks of our mailbag, the episode left some of you with questions about the comings and goings at New Directions. So, who's who, and what's to come? We've got your answers right here!
What happened to Matt, aka Shaft, aka "copresident of the background dancers union"?
As Mr. Shue mentioned in passing, Matt (Dijon Talton) has transferred schools, dropping the glee club's membership down to just 11. Of course, what actually happened is a little something we like to call "writers' room Darwinism." After Glee blew up into a global phenomenon, all of the onetime background characters (Santana, Brittany, Mike Chang) that could be evolved into frontline characters got promoted. Poor Matt was deemed unfit by the evolutionary forces of "story," so he was eliminated. Here's hoping that Dijon Talton goes on to many other great things in the future and the story of how he was let go from Glee becomes just a hilarious anecdote about his rise to fame and personal fulfillment. Good luck, Dijon!
What happened to Coach Ken Tanaka?
Tanaka (Patrick Gallagher) had a nervous breakdown and quit—no doubt because Emma (Jayma Mays) broke his heart. Producers never explained publicly why they switched out their football coaches, but presumably Tanaka was no longer needed as a romantic rival for Mr. Shue. And heck, how could the writers resist giving Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) a Beiste-ly new female football coach to mock?
Who the heck is Charice anyway?
What? You're not hip to Filipina pop stars?! Jeez. OK then, Charice Pempengco is an 18-year-old YouTube sensation who has released two hit albums and appeared on Oprah'sWorld's Most Talented Kids show. You can watch the video for her single "Pyramid" here, and follow her on Twitter @OfficialCharice.
Will Wicked costars Idina Menzel or Kristin Chenoweth be back?
Menzel's character, Shelby Corcoran, resigned as coach of rival glee club Vocal Adrenaline to spend more time with adopted daughter Beth (Puck and Quinn's biological child), but luckily Cheyenne Jackson (who was hilarious last year as Canadian import Danny Baker on 30 Rock) is stepping into her shoes. FYI, you can follow Cheyenne on Twitter at @cheyguynyc, should you so desire. Meanwhile, Kristin Chenoweth is shooting another installment of Glee in just two short weeks!
Hello, Chord Overstreet! You're too pretty not to be dating someone. So who will it be?
@ChordOverstreet himself has played coy on this question for months; Jane Lynch suggested that he'd be hooking up with Chris Colfer's Kurt Hummel; but there's also talk that he could be getting with Quinn, and Dianna Agron told us at the premiere party, "What do we know other than the cheerleader and the footballer?" Huh. Well, we can only hope that Sam is bisexual and that he'll be dating both Quinn and Kurt (at different times, presumably).
So you still like the Glee, do you? Twelve million fans tuned in for the season-two premiere last night, but by the looks of our mailbag, the episode left some of you with questions about the comings and goings at New Directions. So, who's who, and what's to come? We've got your answers right here!
What happened to Matt, aka Shaft, aka "copresident of the background dancers union"?
As Mr. Shue mentioned in passing, Matt (Dijon Talton) has transferred schools, dropping the glee club's membership down to just 11. Of course, what actually happened is a little something we like to call "writers' room Darwinism." After Glee blew up into a global phenomenon, all of the onetime background characters (Santana, Brittany, Mike Chang) that could be evolved into frontline characters got promoted. Poor Matt was deemed unfit by the evolutionary forces of "story," so he was eliminated. Here's hoping that Dijon Talton goes on to many other great things in the future and the story of how he was let go from Glee becomes just a hilarious anecdote about his rise to fame and personal fulfillment. Good luck, Dijon!
What happened to Coach Ken Tanaka?
Tanaka (Patrick Gallagher) had a nervous breakdown and quit—no doubt because Emma (Jayma Mays) broke his heart. Producers never explained publicly why they switched out their football coaches, but presumably Tanaka was no longer needed as a romantic rival for Mr. Shue. And heck, how could the writers resist giving Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) a Beiste-ly new female football coach to mock?
Yet Another Guest Appearance...
From Daily Mail Reporter at www.dailymail.co.uk:
It's one of the most popular shows on TV, winning countless awards and a steadily growing fanbase.
And now it looks as if Gwyneth Paltrow is in talks to guest star in season two of the hit show.
The 37-year-old year old is in discussions to play a love interest for Matthew Morrison's character Will Schuester.
Dot Jones and Jane Lynch
According to sources involved with the show, Gwyneth will star in two episodes airing in November.
When Will gets sick, Gwyneth's substitute teacher will take over the glee club
Complications arise when the Will starts to fall for the popular new teacher, causing tension in his relationship with Emma, played by Jayma Mays.
E! Online reports that the role was written especially for Gwyneth, by her friend and Glee creator Ryan Murphy.
The actress will sing and dance in her episodes, which will begin shooting in two weeks if she agrees to take part.
And she should have no problems at all with singing, after all the practise she got in new movie Country Strong, which opens in December.
Gwyneth Paltrow
New promo pictures released by Fox show Jane Lynch's character Sue Sylvester with new nemesis Coach Beiste, played by Dot Jones.
And it looks like Couch Beist will be more than a match for tough-talking Sue Sylvester.
Lynch appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night to talk about the new season.
She said: 'I love this character. The pathos is just amazing. She wears red lipstick, and then every once in a while, you see tears going down her cheeks.
'Her feelings get hurt very easily, and so of course, Sue Sylvester goes after her.'
Spears Speaks!
From Christopher Rosen at www.wetpaint.com/glee:
The season premiere of Glee is tomorrow night, but as exciting as that moment will surely be, it can't possibly top next week's episode: the Britney Spears tribute!
"Working on Glee was an amazing experience," says Spears in a press release. "The cast is so talented, and I really had an incredible time working with Ryan Murphy." Great job, Brit. And you didn't even sound like a robot. Just kidding. You did.
Meanwhile, we've finally got some confirmation that the all-Brit episode will feature "Me Against the Music," "... Baby One More Time" and "Toxic." Dear next week: Get here!
Oh The Horror!
Sorry it's been a while since I've posted anything GLEEks...but this one I couldn't wait to post!!
From Kevin Fitzpatrick at www.ugo.com:
Just when you thought the list of guest stars coming to your TV this fall couldn't get any bigger, we've learned at least one picture show will be filled with horror.
In addition to the news from Comic-Con that at the behest of Chris Colfer (Kurt), Ryan Murphy had agreed to do an episode paying tribute to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, we've learned that so far at least two original cast members have signed on. Actor Barry Bostwick (Brad Majors) and former music-man Meat Loaf (Eddie, Ex-Delivery Boy) will appear in the October 26th, and likely Halloween-themed episode.
Bostwick and Loaf will play TV station managers with "an interesting proposal" for Sue Sylvester. While no additional deals have been signed, E! also reports that former cast member Susan Sarandon has an interest in participating in the episode. Could Tim Curry be far behind?
The news of these guest-stars follows Glee's already impressive guest-roster of John Stamos, Susan Boyle and Britney Spears herself for a tribute episode entitled "Brittany Britney."
** YEA!! Rocky Horror for Halloween!!! **
Brit on Brit
From Catriona Wrightman of www.digitlspy.com:
Heather Morris has revealed details of the storyline in the upcoming Britney Spears episode of Glee.
Morris, who plays Brittany, told E! Online that the tribute will see New Directions clash with Mr Schuester (Matthew Morrison).
"We want to do [Britney] for a [glee club] performance and Will Schuester doesn't allow it," she explained. "He doesn't agree with us. My character's arc [in the episode], in a way, is Britney Spears!"
She added: "You figure out my character's last name!"
Morris also revealed that she loved working with Spears, who filmed a cameo for the episode.
"She did such a good job," she said. "She was very, very quiet and very sweet. She was awesome."
Glee returns for a new season on September 21 on Fox.
*** By the way, Heather...Brittany's last name is Woods. Did you forget the last name, too? ***
Wemma Happily Ever After...?
From Cristina Gibson (H'Wood Party Girl) at Eonline.com:
Gleeks out there who were horrified by the doomsday report Ryan Murphy gave my TV diva cohort on the future of Will and Emma, take heart: Jayma Mays is rooting for them to work out!
"There's definitely still interest there but I think Emma's trying to be wise and not put all of her eggs in one basket. And I think she's just allowing herself time to pursue other things and maybe heal herself from her germaphobic tendencies a bit as well," she told me at last night's Audi pre-Emmy bash.
So there's a chance John Stamos won't steal her away from Matthew Morrison forever? Jayma, who posed for pics with Matthew last night, said she's crossing her fingers for Wemma to live happily ever after.
"Personally, I still feel they belong together," she said. "They seem to be the perfect match. I think it's a timing thing that might make them a little bit off right now. But I think that's where her heart is but there's nothing wrong with other things either."
More good news for Jayma on Glee: it looks like she'll be getting to sing soon!
"I've heard that there's a song coming up but I don't know any specifics," she said. "I said I'd like to sing some Kenny G the other day and no one got it."
The party was hosted by her Glee costar Jane Lynch, who told me she's bringing her new wife to the Emmys...
Kings of Leon Too Good for GLEE...Apparently
From Fox411's Sodahead at foxnews.com:
Kings of Leon recently confirmed that they think they're too good for the hit show "Glee."
Well, speaking on behalf of the millions of Gleeks, we have to say, excuuuuuse us for wanting to hear your music on our favorite show, Kings of Leon!
Let's face it -- Kings of Leon are good, but they not exactly Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin.
And while Madonna, Britney, and Gaga have been honored to be featured on "Glee," Kings of Leon have better things to do.
"We could have sold out so much more. We turn stuff down constantly," bassist Jared Followill told England's New Musical Express.
They also dissed the now-canceled "Ugly Betty."
"We got an offer to appear on an episode of 'Ugly Betty,'" bassist Jared Followill said. "They wanted us to play ourselves. We were supposed to come in and help her out with some problem or other."
Time for GLEEks!
From Christopher Rosen at GLEEtastic.com:
We know how great the Glee fanbase is, but now it appears the nation is beginning to catch on too! Time magazine has listed the 10 most offbeat fan followings — and congratulations Gleeks, you made the list!
Says Robert Marick of Fox Consumer Products: "Glee fans, or Gleeks, don't just watch the show — they live it." Damn right! That includes Gleek of the Week voting and pretty much adding "Glee" to anything that it would rhyme with (Gleehab, OMGlee, etc.). So what do you say, Gleeks? Are you happy to be part of such a great fan community?
Whatever! We've Seen This Song & Dance Before!
Well GLEEks...
Kings of Leon is the next band to turn GLEE down for using their music. Really? Why?
They have just put themselves out there as the fools of the music world! Why...almost EVERYONE wants to be involved with GLEE somehow! Heck, Sir Paul McCartney is THROWING his music at the Ryan Murphy to make sure it's used!
The only ones dead set against open involvement with GLEE so far have been Coldplay, Miley Cyrus & now Kings of Leon...oh...wait...Coldplay came crawling back with their apology & opened their catalog right up to the show after seeing it's success! DUH!
Well, I'm pretty sure Kings of Leon will hear all the success that all the other artists have had with their music being used on the show...then in a few months, they will pull a Coldplay & come crawling back to Ryan Murphy with their music catalog wide open!
Whatever, Kings of Leon! You're not fooling anyone here...
Miley might take a bit to come around. She'll pout when she's an adult & openly talk about the fact she never got to be on the show...
Sony is a whole different story! Why won't they let Michael Jackson('s music) be on GLEE? Still working on that one...
The only ones dead set against open involvement with GLEE so far have been Coldplay, Miley Cyrus & now Kings of Leon...oh...wait...Coldplay came crawling back with their apology & opened their catalog right up to the show after seeing it's success! DUH!
Well, I'm pretty sure Kings of Leon will hear all the success that all the other artists have had with their music being used on the show...then in a few months, they will pull a Coldplay & come crawling back to Ryan Murphy with their music catalog wide open!
Whatever, Kings of Leon! You're not fooling anyone here...
Miley might take a bit to come around. She'll pout when she's an adult & openly talk about the fact she never got to be on the show...
Sony is a whole different story! Why won't they let Michael Jackson('s music) be on GLEE? Still working on that one...
How #MJonGLEE Should Go
Will is still pining for Emma & wants to change so he sings "Man in the Mirror" & gets inspired to assign the New Directions the coveted Michael Jackson songs for the week.
Quinn & Mercedes have a fight about Quinn's attitude &/or Quinn is fighting Sue & Santana about the Cheerios ("Scream"). Sue & Santana continue to stand their ground...along with Brittany ("Bad" or "Beat It" & Figgins can dance to it - LOL).
Kurt is fighting with the new chick about his sexuality & getting down about the fact she can't deal with him ("Smile").
Rachael is still fighting Jacob about his stupid blog full of rumors ("Just Leave Me Alone" - actually Quinn can sing this to Sue & Santana). Puck just fights everyone (The one Sue & Santana don't use or "Smooth Criminal"). Jessie shows up & wants Rachael & sings "Do You Remember the Time"; Finn reminds Rachael how he feels about her w/ "The Way You Make Me Feel". Artie fights Mike for Tina ("The Girl is Mine" along with Will & the dentist...and maybe Jessie & Finn for Rachael).
The New Directions sing "Thriller" in the auditorium & the Cheerios dance it in the gym while Sue sports a Jackson-ized tracksuit.
By the end, most everyone comes together with "I'll Be There" at the end of the episode.
Will still struggles to get Emma...
