Valentine's Day Means a Breakup *SPOILER*

From Christopher Rosen at www.wetpaint.com/glee:

Sam and Quinn are not going to be lovey-dovey for much longer. The two will, brace yourself, break up on Valentine’s Day.

“I got bored. They were too perfect,” said creator Ryan Murphy, a bit too cavalierly for our taste. But don’t worry, Sam fans, blondie will be off the market in no time. “He starts dating Santana,” revealed Murphy. “He needs a little salsa spice.”

Last week, Dianna Agron dished to TVLine, “I liken [Sam] to a golden retriever puppy. He is sweet, he can be a little dopey — in a lovable way — and sometimes his thoughts aren’t fully cooked.” This is, of course, a reference to “Comeback” (Episode 13, airing February 15), in which Sam tries to woo Quinn with a Bieber song and Bieber hair. “The episode stirs up some problems with them,” the actress revealed. Given what Murphy just spilled, yeah it does.

And while Sam gets a little Santana lovin’, Quinn will land in the arms of... Finn? Sorry, Rachel!

To Brittana or Not to Brittana...

From Kristin Dos Santos at www.eonline.com:

Get ready for an explosion of warm-fuzzy feelings if you are rooting for a Brittany and Santana pairing on Glee, because Naya Rivera and Heather Morris just told us they are hoping—even logistically trying—to make "Santittany" (or "Brittana") a reality.

So will it happen? And could Santana (gulp!) secretly be in love with someone else? Here's the lowdown from the lovely ladies themselves:

When asked what's ahead for Brittany and Santana, Naya tells us: "It's so complicated. It keeps changing! I think ultimately they are best best friends, and as far as [Santana's] sexuality, that's one of the great mysteries of the show, and I appreciate that. But I would like for them to maybe pick a side." And if the actresses' attempt at seating-arrangement subterfuge is any indication, the girls are rooting for that side to be "Brittana."

"Naya and I will sit down in seats next to each other," Heather says of shooting recent scenes on set for the show, "and the director will be like, ‘No, you have to go sit next to Artie.' And we don't have conversations anymore. It's weird. It's weird because [Brittany] has a boyfriend now."

Naya says she understands the separation for the time being but hopes that at some point Brittany and Santana do reconnect. "I think that we have great chemistry working together, Heather and I," she tells us. "As far as seating order, some of the fans are upset that we're not together anymore. But I feel like they have to understand that the characters are going through different changes and some people are going to date other people for a little bit. At the end of the day, Brittany and Santana are always going to be best friends, and as far as what they are going to do with their relationship, it's up to writers, but I would love to represent because we know that there are tons of people who experience something like that and it's not comical for them in their lives—what they are going through that we are representing. So I hope that maybe we can shed some light on that."

Sources tell me that there are plans for "developments" for Brittany and Santana in the works, however, we might not see them for a while. In the meantime, Brittany will be doing her thing with Artie…So will Santana move on? Perhaps reconnect with Puck? Or on to someone else?

"She uses Puck," Naya says."If all else fails, Puck is the one that she goes to and knows that she can just play with. But that might change. And I've honestly made up my own backstory in my head that [Santana] is, like, in love with Finn. She was really upset during the wedding episode because he rejected her!"

Can you fans handle the idea of Finntana? Can this show handle one more potential-coupling moniker?

Lady "Luck"...Puck's New Lady *SPOILER ALERT*

From Christopher Rosen at www.wetpaint.com/glee:

If you’ve been holding out hope that Rachel and Puck would get together — it might be time to let that dream die. According to Michael Ausiello, that blessed union won’t be happening any time soon. In fact, Puck might have his sights set on someone else. So who's lady "Luck"? Well...

...we hope you’re sitting down. It looks like those seven minutes in heaven that Puck and Lauren shared are going to wind up lasting a weency bit longer. Ausiello says that apparently Puck and Lauren will have a “full-blown” romance by the end of the season, and that actress Ashley Fink (Lauren) will likely be a full-time cast member in season three.

What do you guys think of... Luck?

#NoBieberonGLEE a Slight Victory

Hey GLEEks!

We certainly made a ripple in the twittersphere when we made it known that we were NOT for Justin Bieber being on GLEE. There was also a lot of push back from those who didn't agree with our campaign, even though there was a decent portion of our supporters being Beliebers.

I also know that there were some that issues in my views on the situation. Even though I covered these on Twitter, I will attempt to do them here too.

Yes, Justin does annoy me, but I think that my view on him being on the show might have been different if he had respect for the show. I have not agreed with some of the guest stars chosen to be on, but the guest stars who HAVE been on are certainly proven in their fields AND they have the utmost respect for the show. Heck, THEY were starstruck when they walked on set! It's being good at what you do & having humility for it. When Justin came out & basically proved he didn't know what the show was about & then wanted to put in a condition of another guest star for the sole purpose of working with her (as a hot teacher, I might add) just shows his major disrespect & immaturity toward the show. And I agree that I think they need some younger-looking students in the hallways of McKinley High, but probably not one who looks 12. This isn't a slam on him in any way. He can't help how young he looks, but to wait to have an episode to have him on as a student is frustrating. Maybe they should have already had a few students who look really young in the hallways before then. Maybe that would have changed my mind on that aspect. And if he wants Cheryl Cole to appear as a hot teacher on an eppy where he's a student, doesn't that mean he might want one of those student/teacher affairs? Ew. And the whole crush thing was covered with Rachel/Mr. Shue/Suzy Pepper. Let that storyline die now!

And for those who complained about any guest stars who haven't sung before being on the show, I would like to point out that as for Gwyneth Paltrow being on & singing...she had just done the movie "Country Strong"...where she SANG! Oh, and she acts pretty well, too.

Now, Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk have come out saying there won't be a Bieber-centric episode because he doesn't have a big enough catalog to use. This makes sense, so it's a slight victory on our part. However, they did not say he would not APPEAR on GLEE. This was the larger part of our campaign due to the above listed reasons. If he does appear on the show, it will prove that GLEE has become a sell-out by just getting a name on the screen who's big right now, no matter the cost. The question then becomes, "Has GLEE really come to this & why is it needed?" It is one of the biggest shows on TV right now. It is covering important issues. I just think it will be a sad day when the show totally loses it's way. If Justin appears on a show that he doesn't understand, no amount of editing of his screen time will hide that fact. It will be very obvious that it is a gimmicky publicity stunt on both sides.

It has come out that one to three songs may be done in the course of this Bieber thing on GLEE, but the door is still open for that appearance. That one has NOT been debunked. The campaign of keeping him off our show was somehow misunderstood as a tribute show. I may be fine with a small out of songs being on, because that's all he's really got, so I knew there's no way they could do a tribute to him.

As for any GLEEk who doesn't stand for this & says they will not watch the show doesn't mean we are not true fans. We are...we just can't bear the thought of Ryan Murphy using GLEE to be a sell-out. It will lose so much meaning at that point. Even if the writing is fantastic for the show, please refer to the 2nd paragraph before this one.

You can agree, you can disagree. But I have kept my part of the campaign/protest civil. Others didn't, I know. But please know that it will be a sad day in the GLEEmunity if Justin Bieber does appear on GLEE while he still feels the way he does about the show.

Let's get back to basics and have less guest stars as part of the plot...to a point. I do think we can bring in some to be part of the families that we were told we would see. I do believe Jennifer Lopez (who has been dying to get on the show) should come on as Santana's mom, Margaret Cho should be Tina's mom, Ken Jeong should be Mike's dad, and Justin Timberlake should be Will's little bro...but only if they have the respect for the show! If they don't, then I don't want them on! We want to get back to the heart of the cast anyway.

Thoughts on #NoBieberonGLEE

This is from my GLEEky friend, ItsAGleekThing:

Just thought of something. Remember when it was announced that Charice was gonna be on Glee? What was the response? Generally, it was good. I'm sure this is because she's a very gifted singer and she added to the show. When you think if bieber, what's he gonna add to the show? His talent does not measure up to the likes of Charice or the rest of the Glee cast. He'll simply lower the standard of the show. Just because he's the the thing that's in today, it does not mean that he has to make an appearance on the show. Honestly I think bieber is just using Glee as a means of further self promotion. And RM and the others are probably thinking that the show will get more views due to more beliebers tuning in. Stop and think, is that what Glee really is about? Self-promotion and a higher view count? It's not... People say we are hating on bieber but really we are just concerned about one of our favorite shows. We the gleeks care about the quality of the show not the quantity. By quantity I mean how popular it is and how many fans it gets. [Ryan Murphy] please I beg you to listen to your fan base. If it weren't for us, Glee would never be what it is today.

** This ties right into my previous post trying to explain to Beliebers that we are defending our show & want high quality talent. It's a matter of opinion, and obviously it's a wide-spread opinion that the GLEEmunity does NOT want him on. Sure there are many that do not like him. He annoys me, but that has nothing to do with the fact that he just isn't a good fit for GLEE. I will be truly disappointed if Fox & Ryan Murphy actually let this happen. Thank you ItsAGleekThing for your thoughts. Very valid points indeed.

Clearing Up #NoBieberonGLEE

Hi GLEEks!

There needs to be something cleared right now! The GLEEmunity is not trying to start a fight with Beliebers, but we are trying to defend what is right for our favorite show. We want what's right for it. We just happen to believe that when someone does not understand the meaning of the show & think it's shallow, well how shallow of that person who wants to be on just as a gimmicky publicity stunt.

Please read my previous post to see my feelings on this. It is nothing against his fans, but it's against someone who is obviously not right for the show.

Belieber, chill out! Take a step back & read the arguments as to why he isn't right & how he isn't handling this well at all. Please see his immaturity level with this whole thing.

You all want him on just for him to be on. There is no depth of reasoning beyond that. The GLEEmunity wants to keep up the integrity of the show.

After you have really looked at your reasoning you want him on the show as opposed to the mass of those who don't want him on the show, you will see there is a large difference.

Like him if you want, but it doesn't mean he needs to be on the show because he sings & looks cute. Yes he's a big name right now, but that doesn't mean he's right for the show. How many times do I need to put that to make it clear?

Thank you for your understanding as we continue the campaign for #NoBieberonGLEE.

#NoBieberonGLEE

Hi GLEEks!

So, it has been said that Ryan Murphy would like Justin Bieber to appear on GLEE. There was an outcry about this from the GLEEmunity the first time out. Then nothing else was heard about it until very lately...

Justin Bieber has recently come out & said that GLEE is about people who look good & sing good. Really? How about it's about a group of misfits who accept who they are & use their talent to get them through the day. It's about being a team & doing whatever you can to reach your goals & dreams...oh yeah, and they do it singing all kinds of genres of music.

It came out yesterday that he was trying to "negotiate" his appearance by giving a condition that Cheryl Cole must be a guest star as well...because he wants to work with her & thinks this would be the time. REALLY? This is what you call being an immature little snotty diva.

There is an updated campaign on Twitter right now about #NoBieberonGLEE. The GLEEmunity is about 90 to 1 against having him on.

He is not a fit for the show for many reasons. First, even though he is 16 (maybe 17), he looks 12...and sounds it too. He is a one-trick-pony & hasn't proved he can sing much else besides his bubble-gum lyric music with only a few words. There is no depth to anything he does. And he proved how shallow he is & that he thinks GLEE is a gimmick to help him out by the stunts he pulled in his quotes. It's obvious he doesn't watch the show, otherwise he would know what it is about. Plus he has proved he doesn't have the maturity to handle the "bieste".

It has come to my attention that the negotiations are going on for him to appear close to the end of Season 2 or in Season 3. The GLEEmunity is trying to get word out there & making it very clear that we will NOT watch this episode if it happens. It will be protested. As dedicated as I am to the show, you can guarantee that I will purposely miss this episode. It would be a disappointment on the part of Ryan Murphy & Fox to let down their fanbase by not listening to them.

We do know that they hear the fans because they have used "Finchel" & "Puckleberry" during the Furt eppy, so I would hope they would listen to this outcry before any writing & negotiating is done for this travesty.

There was even an article written about 2 hours into the #NoBieberonGLEE campaign by Alison Nadaud from examiner.com: http://www.examiner.com/glee-in-national/glee-justin-bieber-haters-campaign-to-keep-him-off-the-show

There is also a twitition for tweeters to "sign" specifically for "No Bieber On GLEE"! Find it & get your twitter signature on it!

I realize diehard beliebers are upset, especially ones who are GLEEks, but the collective GLEEmunity is dead-set against it & we need our voice heard!

If you are on Twitter & would like to help our cause, here's a couple of rules:

1. Only put #NoBieberonGLEE one time per tweet or it will be considered spam

2. Put it in EVERY tweet so we can get it to trend

3. Retweet as many #NoBieberonGLEE tweets as possible from others

Thanks for your support!

** Update - there is a counter campaign going on right now. I have seen many more supporting our cause, but we need to step it up if you do not feel Justin Bieber has what it takes to be on GLEE. **

** DON'T FORGET - Please be sure to spell it correctly or it will NEVER trend! (I before E, GLEEks!) #NoBieberonGLEE

If It's a Dream...Don't Wake Colfer

From Cherie Burbach at www.wetpaint.com/glee:

They were grandmother and granddaughter in The Princess Diaries films, and now Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway may reunite on Glee. If all goes as planned, Andrews would play Kurt's grandmother, and Hathaway would be his aunt.

Chris Colfer has been pushing for this dream team for months now. He recently dished to E!'s Kristin Dos Santos, "I'm pretty sure I've been obnoxious enough now that [Julie Andrews] knows that I want her. I think they just have to write it for her … And Anne Hathaway wants to play my lesbian aunt. I'm all for that. Could you imagine a family with myself, Mike O'Malley, Julie Andrews, and Anne Hathaway? That's one hell of a family."

If Glee does score the dynamic duo, it'll be quite the coup; Hathaway is a busy girl these days — The Love and Other Drugs star is slated to co-host the 2011 Oscars!

Epic Superbowl Trantrum!! *Spoiler*

From Heidi Suke at www.wetpaint.com/glee:

Sure, we have [a few] ideas on how to pass the time until the new episode of Glee FINALLY airs, but it’s always nice to get an extra dose of gossip in these terrible Glee-barren months. Are you ready for more Super Bowl scoop, Gleeks? Well, you’re in luck!

Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester) recently caught up with Associated Press and dished on her role in the Super Bowl extravaganza: “It's got so much firepower. There is so much going on in the show that is crazy and funny and wild. I have a hissy fit the likes of which no one has seen before, where I try to destroy the locker room and principal's office. I try to shoot one of my cheerleaders from a cannon."

Shooting a Cheerio from a cannon? Rumor has it that Brittany is going to be the one Sue lures into, and shoots out of, said cannon. Okay. This is going to be good!

Superbowl Spoilers!!!

From Christopher Rosen at www.wetpaint.com/glee:

OMGlee. After months of speculation, we finally have confirmation on the songs Glee will perform during the Super Bowl episode, which airs February 6, 2011. As a bonus, we've included several delectable deets on the episode itself. Spoilerphobes, avoid the rest of this post at all costs!

SPOTTED: The cast of Glee filming scenes on a football field on Thursday, December 9. But wait — is that Lea Michele in uniform? While Chris Colfer and Darren Criss cheered on the team from the stands, Chord Overstreet and Cory Monteith were joined on the field by the pint-sized star herself. After Finn's rejection of her on "A Very Glee Christmas," could this be Rachel's attempt to finally get him back for good?

For spoiler-lovers, here you go!

Katy Perry - "California Gurls," performed by Brittany, Santana, Quinn, and the Cheerios
Lady Antebellum - "Need You Now," performed by Puck and Rachel
Michael Jackson/Yeah Yeah Yeahs - "Thriller"/"Heads Will Roll" (mashup), performed by New Directions (minus Quinn, Birttany, and Santana, who are away at a Cheerios competition) during halftime in a McKinley High football game
Destiny's Child - "Bills, Bills, Bills," performed by Blaine, Kurt, and the Dalton Academy Warblers
Another song that might make it into the eppy is "Meet Me Halfway" by The Black Eyed Peas

As if that wasn't enough, here's a roundup of more episode-related teasers:

- The episode will feature two new football player characters, Scott Cooper and Strando (played by Kody Batchelor), as well as a cameo by Katie Couric, who interviews Sue Sylvester for the "Biggest Loser of the Year" award. (Sue assumes she's received "Most Fascinating Person of the Year" honors, but that accolade goes to Barbara Walters instead.)
- Sue will attempt to lure Brittany into a cannon.
- Finn and Rachel do not reunite... at least not in this episode.
- McKinley High comes down with a serious case of Super Bowl fever due to the Cheerleading Regionals.
- Kurt and Karofsky will have another showdown.
- Coach Beiste recruits Rachel, Tina, and Mercedes for the football team, and she also forces the team to join glee.
