Hi GLEEks!
So, it has been said that Ryan Murphy would like Justin Bieber to appear on GLEE. There was an outcry about this from the GLEEmunity the first time out. Then nothing else was heard about it until very lately...
Justin Bieber has recently come out & said that GLEE is about people who look good & sing good. Really? How about it's about a group of misfits who accept who they are & use their talent to get them through the day. It's about being a team & doing whatever you can to reach your goals & dreams...oh yeah, and they do it singing all kinds of genres of music.
It came out yesterday that he was trying to "negotiate" his appearance by giving a condition that Cheryl Cole must be a guest star as well...because he wants to work with her & thinks this would be the time. REALLY? This is what you call being an immature little snotty diva.
There is an updated campaign on Twitter right now about #NoBieberonGLEE. The GLEEmunity is about 90 to 1 against having him on.
He is not a fit for the show for many reasons. First, even though he is 16 (maybe 17), he looks 12...and sounds it too. He is a one-trick-pony & hasn't proved he can sing much else besides his bubble-gum lyric music with only a few words. There is no depth to anything he does. And he proved how shallow he is & that he thinks GLEE is a gimmick to help him out by the stunts he pulled in his quotes. It's obvious he doesn't watch the show, otherwise he would know what it is about. Plus he has proved he doesn't have the maturity to handle the "bieste".
It has come to my attention that the negotiations are going on for him to appear close to the end of Season 2 or in Season 3. The GLEEmunity is trying to get word out there & making it very clear that we will NOT watch this episode if it happens. It will be protested. As dedicated as I am to the show, you can guarantee that I will purposely miss this episode. It would be a disappointment on the part of Ryan Murphy & Fox to let down their fanbase by not listening to them.
We do know that they hear the fans because they have used "Finchel" & "Puckleberry" during the Furt eppy, so I would hope they would listen to this outcry before any writing & negotiating is done for this travesty.
There was even an article written about 2 hours into the #NoBieberonGLEE campaign by Alison Nadaud from examiner.com: http://www.examiner.com/glee-in-national/glee-justin-bieber-haters-campaign-to-keep-him-off-the-show
There is also a twitition for tweeters to "sign" specifically for "No Bieber On GLEE"! Find it & get your twitter signature on it!
I realize diehard beliebers are upset, especially ones who are GLEEks, but the collective GLEEmunity is dead-set against it & we need our voice heard!
If you are on Twitter & would like to help our cause, here's a couple of rules:
1. Only put #NoBieberonGLEE one time per tweet or it will be considered spam
2. Put it in EVERY tweet so we can get it to trend
3. Retweet as many #NoBieberonGLEE tweets as possible from others
Thanks for your support!
** Update - there is a counter campaign going on right now. I have seen many more supporting our cause, but we need to step it up if you do not feel Justin Bieber has what it takes to be on GLEE. **
** DON'T FORGET - Please be sure to spell it correctly or it will NEVER trend! (I before E, GLEEks!) #NoBieberonGLEE

Hello, it's @kyle_vernor. I'm still not covinced. The article you included is called "Glee: Justin Bieber Haters Campaign to Keep Him Off Show" - HATERS. Secondly, as a 16 year old, I looked young as well, and I find it offensive that you think that he isn't capable of the role because he actually fits the role. Thirdly, I have read the article with Biebs talking about Glee and he said that Cheryl Cole should be on the show because she wants to and she is better than him. His comment of being "adamant" was a joke.
ReplyDeleteMOST OF ALL, if someone refuses to watch an episode of a TV show because of a guest star, they clearly aren't fans of the show. And someone who is a diehard fan, like you say you are, wouldn't miss an episode. If I was Ryan Murphy, I would do as I wanted and I would probably make the episode the most important one yet. I wouldn't let a bunch of crying fans keep me from being the director I was paid to be.
This is the first article I have read and I will be sure to read the others, but, as of now, I am unconvinced of the substantiality of your argument. To me, this is still a bunch of haters crying because they can't get their way.
